That's really interesting, my fics tend to stay pretty similar between first draft and posting, but that's part of the reason why I feel like I could do better with editing!

I like the idea of tracking changes - I guess it can maybe make it feel a bit more like betaing someone else's work and it sounds very useful for changes you aren't quite sure about. I'm going to try it!

I love betaing for other people so I hope I can grow to like doing it for myself too.
